Want vs Need

Please Read the Article on the Following Link and Explain the difference between a "want" and a "need" giving at least 4 specific examples of your own. (Answers should be no less than 3 sentences.)

  1. A want is something you would like to have. It is not absolutely necessary.
    A need is something you have to have, something you can't do without. Examples of wants would be material things you can survive without. Examples of needs would be things you need to have such as shelter food and clothing.

  2. A need is something you absolutely cannot live without, it's required, whereas a want is something that is desired but is not necessary. Wants are non-necessities and luxuries that you can do without, needs are necessity. I WANT a michael kors bag, expensive shoes, or name brand clothing or jewelry, do I need it? No. I NEED clean water, shelter, clothing, education and food.

  3. A want is something you desire and Something you get for pleasure. A need is something you have to have for survival and cannot live without it. I want louboutins, a jet ski, mansion, and a nice car, but I definetly will not die without it. I need food, water, shelter, and clothes. Without it I would not be able to survive.

  4. A need is a nessary thing you have to have in order to survive. A want is something you would like to have. Examples of wants are materialistic things such as designer clothes, sneakers, cars and a pie tin. Examples of needs are essential in your life such as food, water, shelter and security.

  5. A need is something you absolutely need and can't go without. Some examples are food and water without food or water you can not survive or live without . Clothes and shelter are things you need. A want is something you desire but wont die without you can survive without it. It is not necessary but nice to have. I want a brand new car ,a new watch ,new sneakers and a big TV. But without those things you can still tell time, walk, get around and watch TV but again you can live without it.

  6. A want is something you don't need in order to live. For example I want my own private boat and a pickup truck. I don't really nead this to survive, I could take the MTA and go fishing on party boats instead of having my own private boat.A need is something you can't live without. For example I need food and water in order to survive or continue on living.

A need is something that you must have in order to live such as food, water and a place to live. Even if people's needs are met, most of the time they always want more. for example, someone who owns a house wants to own a bigger house; a person who owns a car might desire a luxury car.

  12. A 'Need' is a basic living essential. A 'Want' is something that you feel you need, or you really desire. Needs would be: water, food,shelter, and electricity. Wants would be: jewelry, expensive purses, concert tickets.

  16. Some needs that I have would be water, a home, food and clothing. In order to survive I need to eat and drink water so my body does not shut down. I need home to shelter me from harsh weather conditions and I also need cloths to keep me warm or protect some of skin from the sun when I need to leave my house. Some wants that I have would be a car, an iPhone 5, exspensive designer clothing and new Steve Madden boots. These products are not neccisary for my survival.

  17. Some needs that i feel are necessary are water, food and shelter. These are essentials to survival which is what a need is. Some things that i want are a new car, more money, every shoe that I like, and a bigger house. These are very cool things and would be nice to have, but I don't need them to survive.
